I have been to this shop many times. Before the last time I went, I have received 5 star service. The mechanics know what they are doing, they explain the service very well, and they fix things that other shops have trouble diagnosing. However, on my last visit, they incorrectly diagnosed the problem with my daughter's manual Volkswagen. They told me it needed a new transmission and recommended we don't fix the vehicle because of its age. That didn't sound right to me. I took it to another shop and they correctly diagnosed the problem as being the clutch and fixed it for half the price that Automotive Service of Roseville quoted, and my daughter's car has never run better. |

I just moved to the area and was happy to find ASR when my AC failed. They did a good job identifying the problem, the repair came with a 2 year warranty, where my old mechanic only gave 1, and the drop off and pick up service was extremely helpful. I expect to be back when needed. I would have given 5 stars but for 1 thing. They were running a coupon for AC service when I came in and didn't volunteer that info or include it in the initial estimate. Fortunately I had seen it and was not too timid to ask. When I did, there was an immediate adjustment but I have been to other places that volunteer this info and it left me feeling less than completely trusting. |

Good service and very friendly staff. One item was left off the service list and was not performed, but I did not pay for it either; something somewhat minor. |

Very pleased with the overall service performed on my vehicle and the way I was treated as a customer. My only disappointment was that I asked to have my tires rotated while the brakes were being replaced. I was told that they had been rotated when I picked up the vehicle, but in fact they had not. I work on my car so I am aware of these details, my concern is for customers who are told a service is performed and they don't know how to confirm it has been. |

Been very satisfied in past, but was put off by last visit for this reason. Needed new exterior door handle and made appt. When I dropped off they told me the after market cheaper handle not available and I need OEM from dealer so more expensive. Perfectly fine by me and agree to do it. I pick up vehicle and look at handle and there is a gap, and could see the fit and release on the handle not the same as other doors. I go back in and inform Kieran I believe is name. He looks at it and agrees it looks like garbage apologizes, and says they will make it right. I come back later to pick up. I was then told it?s good to go and I have a new OEM handle. I ask what happened before and they tell me the other one installed was after market. I ask why since originally was told I had to get one from dealer. They said they were able to find an after market later on. Well, they kept same quoted price for OEM, but tried to install after market without telling me while keeping original price. That?s shady and not something I would expect from these guys bc in the past they have been honest and prices fair. I did not push the issue further but Bill was who I dealt w earlier at drop off and he tried to say that the shop will eat the difference in cost for my troubles. I call BS bc I was quoted and charged for OEM handle and he tried to install after market. Small things like this push customers to other shops. Kieran was a class act and apologized again when I was getting into my vehicle as I could tell he knew what happened. |

I have always had a positive experience with ASR, so I'm hoping this last visit was an anomaly. I came in for a oil change and requested my tires be rotated and air checked. I also asked if they would replace a valve stem on one of the tires. I was told this would be no problem, but it wasn't done. Otherwise, they had me in and out in less than an hour. |

I don't think it was right that we had to bring our van back several times to get it fixed when we told you at the very beginning that we heard noises & had the following lights on: tires, check engine, and brakes. We trusted your shop to identify the problems from our records & give us a true estimate; however, we had to pay diagnostic charges each time within one week period. We don't think that was appropriate for a long time customer who brings two different vehicles to your shop pretty regularly to be charged for diagnostic each time when it was already in your records to fix something but we just didn't have the money to fix it at that time. We can't afford to bring our vehicles back there anymore. Thank you! |

We have been coming to ASR for years for multiple cars in our family, this is the first time I will give a low review just because of one employee. I called Chris because my husband's battery died and he said I can walk in the next day with no appointment necessary and he would be able to get the car done within a half hour. My husband walks in the next day and Chris turns him away saying they're too busy and to come back a few hours later, how would he if the car battery is dead? I called him back and tried to straighten it out based on what he told me the day before but Chris was not friendly or helpful. I am really unhappy with the customer service this time, totally not used to this or expected this from ASR. I'm always asking for Bill from now on, never had any issues with him before and he is super nice, informative and helpful. |

These guys are top notch. I wasn't happy that my air conditioning went out, but it's all better now; thanks to my friends at Automobile Service of Roseville. Deb Jo |
